So I've had this crazy idea for awhile now, but recently it has re-entered my mind and I'm really excited about it. I love baking, I mean, really love it. When I get stressed, I bake. I remember one night, a long time ago, just baking away in the kitchen one night and ended up making DOZENS of chocolate chip cookies. My co-workers were happy though since I showed up at work the next morning with a giant basket literally filled with cookies. So, I was thinking, I want to start a bakery. Mostly cupcakes, with maybe a few cookies, brownies, or various breakfast things (muffins, cinnamon rolls, whatever moves me). Probably just a few everyday flavors, like chocolate, carrot cake, red velvet, and vanilla, and then one or two seasonal varieties. I like cupcakes because they're portable, easy to decorate, and easy to bake. But, if people like them, I can easily turn my recipe into a cake and go from there. Ryan has always wanted to open a coffee shop, so I think this would be an excellent combination for a business. Hence, the breakfast pastries, for those commuters who want a quick, and yummy, breakfast and coffee on their way into work.
So yeah, that's what's on my mind recently. I still have my love for all things girly, so I'll still keep up with that. Heck, if I ever open a shop, I'll have to sell my stuff there too! Nothing like multi-tasking, right?! ;) Anyway, I'm going to be creating some new recipes here soon, some of which will hopefully be gluten- and/or sugar-free. Gotta make sure to reach everyone, right?! Get ready friends, because I'll need lots of taste testers. Hehe!!

New Items, New Photos
I asked a few weeks ago for some etsyians to critique my shop in hopes to figure out why the heck I'm not selling anything. Most of them said that I need to redo my pictures. So, I put up some of my newly made items with a new photo layout. Lost the brown background (which I thought would be a nice consistent background for everything...turns out it's just boring!) and did some different poses of the items. Hopefully people will respond better to these pictures and start buying. I have to get some more tutus up because I have 12 total made but only 4 in my shop right now. Guess I'll be doing that tomorrow.

My life on the D-List
I randomly stumbled upon a thread in the etsy forums for new sellers having low sales. And it turns out we're now a D-List little team. How cute is that?! We're all offering support and information to one another to help boost our sales. I'm excited to see where this goes. I'll keep you posted!
